Clifton, NJ (June 30th, 2015) Collaborative Women in Construction is hosting on Friday, July 10th , 2015 at Spuntino’s, located at located in the Clifton Commons Shopping Center located at 70 Kingsland Rd, Clifton NJ 07014 from 12:00 pm to 1:30 pm, their monthly networking luncheon.

Partner Rebecca Moll Freed of Genova Burns will join Eileen Della Volle, Vice President,  Business Development Government Affairs for KS Engineers at the Collaborative Women in Construction’s July 10th Networking Luncheon.

Ms. Freed will share her expertise on collaboration in government contracting with recommendations for pay-to-play compliance, joint ventures and competing for procurement opportunities.  Eileen and Rebecca will demonstrate the power of collaboration to increase opportunities, engaging new customers and closing new business deals.

Collaborative Women in Construction members and guests are very excited to collaborate with Eileen and Rebecca and to learn how to leverage their knowledge in government affairs, joint ventures and procurement, thus partnering on construction projects while increasing revenues, opportunities, and client portfolios.

Ms. Della Volle has more than 20 years of marketing and business development. She works directly with State, local and private agencies, developing relationships with community and business leaders. About Rebecca Moll Freed, Partner

Rebecca Moll Freed, Partner in the firm’s Newark, New Jersey office, is the Director of the Corporate Political Activity Law and the Non-Profit and Tax Exempt Organizations Practice Group. She is also a member of the Public Contract Law & Bid Protest Litigation Practice Group.

Ms. Freed advises corporations, partnerships, limited liability companies, trade associations, charitable organizations, social welfare organizations and political action committees on the legal aspects of their political activities.

Ms. Freed has substantial experience with New Jersey’s pay-to-play laws; she has lectured frequently on the topic, and written extensively on the issue as well, including articles for New Jersey Lawyer, New Jersey League of Municipalities Magazine, and New Jersey Law Journal.

Ms. Freed also has extensive experience in procurement law, assisting clients in the preparation of RFPs and RFQs on the state and local levels. She has represented numerous clients in bid protest disputes before administrative agencies and before the Appellate Division of New Jersey Superior Court.

As Director of the firm’s Corporate Political Activity Law Group, the Non-Profit and Tax Exempt Organization Practice Group and the Vendor Political Activity & Ethics Compliance Training & Audit Programs, Ms. Freed provides training and counseling to companies, in-house counsel and corporate ethics and compliance officers who seek to maximize government contracting opportunities while assuring compliance with the law.

Ms. Freed is a member of the Democratic Task Force and board counsel for the Women’s Political Caucus of New Jersey. She serves on the Far Hills County Day School Parents’ Committee as the school’s co-Chair of Common Ground Speaks, an initiative that sponsors a free lecture series featuring distinguished speakers who address topics related to child development, parenting and education. Ms. Freed is currently involved in the Newark Scholars Program, which provides full scholarships to Newark Academy to deserving students from the City of Newark. Ms. Freed served as a trustee for Partners for Women and Justice from November of 2011 to November 2014. Ms. Freed has been recognized by New Jersey Law Journal, “Forty Under 40″ (2008) and NJ Biz Magazine, “Forty Under 40″ (2010). Ms. Freed was honored by Newark Academy as a “Woman of Distinction” for the Class of 1994 for her contributions to the legal industry and to the community (2014).

She is co-Chair of the firm’s Inclusionary Initiative, which encompasses the firm’s Women’s Initiative and Diversity Initiative.
