Catylist Announces New Executive Hire in Charge of Research Initiative
Allen Benson, CIO, brings more than 20 years industry experience to Catylist
Catylist, the leading provider of Commercial Listing Service (CLS) technology to REALTOR® associations, recently announced that Allen Benson has joined the team as Chief Information Officer. Benson will head up Catylist’s new research initiative, adding to the arsenal of tools Catylist currently provides in markets around the country.
“We've known Allen for years and to say we're excited that he's joined our Catylist team is an understatement,” says Richard Maxson, SVP of Sales and Marketing for Catylist. “Allen possesses a tremendous background and brings a new competency to Catylist with respect to both research and geospatial technology. His leadership in these areas will benefit our current clients and will help us in entering new markets across the country.”
Benson comes to Catylist with more than 20 years of experience in real estate technology. He started his career with Windermere Real Estate, the largest regional franchised real estate company on the west coast. In 1994, as CTO of Windermere, Benson took the company online and was the first in the country to put the entire MLS online for the public to search.
After leaving Windermere, Benson founded ePropertyData with the vision of taking what he had created into the commercial real estate marketplace. During this time, he built platforms powering some of the largest fully-researched markets in the country. In 2008, the National Association of Realtors purchased ePropertyData.
With the addition of Benson to the team, Catylist will be releasing a new commercial real estate research platform in 2016. For more information, contact Allen Benson at 253-468-7742.
