Cathay Home to Open First Warehouse and Distribution Facility in Carlstadt, N.J.
CARLSTADT, N.J. (April 2, 2013)— NAI James E. Hanson, a leading New Jersey-based commercial real estate firm, today announced that Cathay Home has signed a 50,000-square-foot lease at 90 Triangle Boulevard, a Prologis-owned industrial property in Carlstadt, N.J.
Cathay Home, which signed a five-year lease, will use the space as the first warehouse and distribution facility for its linens and bedding manufacturing business, which is headquartered in New York City.
NAI Hanson Vice Presidents Jeffrey W. DeMagistris, Thomas A. Vetter and Sales Associate Nicholas Herrick represented the tenant in the transaction.
“Cathay Home, which moved quickly once we identified the right building, originally leased 20,000 square feet at another Prologis property in Carlstadt,” DeMagistris explained. “However, Cathay’s e-commerce business has exploded in recent months, causing the company to require more than twice the square footage. Fortunately, Prologis had a 50,000-square-foot building available in the same neighborhood. The deal is reflective of the continued tightening of the Northern New Jersey industrial market, especially in the Meadowlands.”
