Building industry scholarships available to southern New Jersey students
CHERRY HILL, N.J., Feb. 18, 2014 _ The Builders League of South Jersey Scholarship Foundation has announced scholarships are now available for area students for the upcoming 2014-2015 school year. Since its inception the Foundation has awarded more than $125,093 to area students planning for careers in the homebuilding industry.
The BLSJ Scholarship Foundation was funded with a donation from the Home Builders Foundation, a community service entity established in 1956 by the Builders League to help area students in need.
Scholarship, ranging up to $2,000, will be awarded to students from southern New Jersey who will be matriculating in an accredited, post-secondary school and pursuing a course of study related to real estate and the construction industry. Applicants must live in or attend school in Atlantic, Burlington, Camden, Cape May, Cumberland, Gloucester, or Salem counties.
Studies may be undertaken in a qualified trade school program, as well as junior and four-year college university programs. Students enrolled in programs part-time are also eligible. Study fields may include, but are not limited to, air conditioning, electrical, plumbing, heating technology, construction management, or technology and CAD drafting.
Applications are available online on the Builders League website. The deadline is April 15. This year students are allowed to scan and submit their applications online at email@example.com or mail them to the Foundation office at 114 Haddontowne Ct., Cherry Hill, N.J. 08034
