Bell Works to Open its Doors on Oct. 22 for Region’s Brokerage Community
Somerset Development and The Garibaldi Group to Showcase Innovative Adaptive Reuse of 2 Million-SF Former Bell Labs Building During Boardwalk-Themed Party
Holmdel, N.J. (October 21, 2014)— Master developer Somerset Development, along with The Garibaldi Group, today announced that Bell Works, the iconic mixed-use center in Holmdel, N.J., will officially open its doors to the region’s brokers on Wednesday, October 22 for an exclusive party and property showcase. During the event, guests will be able to experience, first-hand, the awe-inspiring transformation taking place at the former Bell Labs complex, which is currently undergoing a $100-million adaptive reuse redevelopment.
The event, which includes a walkthrough of the architecturally significant, two-million-square-foot building and a boardwalk-themed dinner, will reintroduce the brokerage community to what was once one of the foremost research facilities in the world. Guests will be treated to various cocktails and an “AC in the Golden Era” inspired food menu, along with the exclusive opportunity to view the building’s diverse range of upcoming available commercial space. Additionally, each guest will receive a free Mini Jamboxby Jawbone, along with a chance to win a cash prize and an iPad Air.
“Bell Works is a comprehensive redevelopment initiative that one truly must see to believe,” commented Jeff Garibaldi, President of The Garibaldi Group, Bell Works’ exclusive office leasing agent. “It represents a unique opportunity for businesses to operate in one of the nation’s premier architectural gems, which will be repurposed as a vibrant mixed-use center with access to restaurants, culture, and services normally found only in urban locales.”
Under Somerset Development’s transformative plan for Bell Works, a pedestrian “street” is being created within the building’s existing esplanade that will serve as the central gathering space of this new destination, connecting tenants and visitors to a host of dining, entertainment, and health and wellness services, along with renovated office space and educational facilities, a hotel and conference center. In keeping with the vision for Bell Works as a place of collaboration, the building’s esplanade – which spans approximately one-quarter mile – will also serve as a world-class venue for community, cultural and business events, from farmer’s markets and art exhibitions, to industry conferences and musical performances.
The event will take place on Wednesday, October 22 from 4pm to 8pm at Bell Works, located at 101 Crawfords Corner Road, Holmdel, N.J. Interested parties are asked to RSVP to Tara Keating at firstname.lastname@example.org or Jeff Garibaldi at email@example.com.
