Adventure Air Sports Bounces into Kennesaw’s Town Center Plaza
March 30, 2017 —Adventure Air Sports, a state-of-the-art family entertainment center, has signed an eight-year lease at Town Center Plaza in Kennesaw, GA. It is the company’s first location in Georgia.
The exciting new facility includes a large continuous trampoline field, a trampoline dodgeball stadium, Olympic-sized foam pits, battle beams, a fidget ladder, a flying circus trapeze and a Ninja Warrior obstacle course—the largest in Georgia.
“Adventure Air Sports is the perfect complement to Town Center Plaza’s tenant mix, which attracts similar consumers,” said JLL Senior Broker Bob Stasiowski, who leases the property. “The company was particularly attracted to Kennesaw’s density and number of households with children—the geographical area we cover is unmatched in the Atlanta area.”
Town Center Plaza is a 226,962-square-foot, open-air shopping center anchored by Marshalls, HomeGoods and T.J.Maxx and occupied by a strong mix of national, high-profile fashion retailers. The center, located at 425 Ernest W Barrett Parkway, has been owned by Town Center Associates for over 30 years and is managed and Leased by JLL.
The center offers easy access to I-75 and I-575 and nearby retailers include Target, Costco, Bed Bath and Beyond, REI, Best Buy and Dick’s Sporting Goods.
Adventure Air Sports CEO and developer Chris Brown noted that bouncing is a low-impact exercise that can burn up to three times as many calories as jogging, and that the company strives to create an environment that can be enjoyed by participants of all ages.
The location, which adds 60 jobs to the local economy, hosts birthday parties, youth groups, dodgeball tournaments, corporate and team building events, and what it calls “Club Adventure,” a laser and black light filled evening with DJ music.
“Our leasing strategy is to add tenants that provide quality and value for our consumers, while introducing concepts that are first to market,” Stasiowski said.
“Entertainment and restaurant uses have become a vital component for keeping shopping centers relevant,” added JLL’s John Bemis, Executive Vice President and Retail Market Lead for the Southeast. “Today’s consumers want shopping centers to be a one-stop shop with not only great retail, but viable entertainment options and great food selections.”
Town Center Plaza is currently in negotiations for a 2,787 SF first to market restaurant space that will bring its occupancy to 100%. Other recent signed deals include Salon Lofts and Rockler Woodworking and Hardware.
“With such a unique concept there were many hurdles to overcome,” said Stasiowski. “The partnership between the landlord and tenant was instrumental to the success of this deal.”
