A new report from the Conference Board of Canada paints a rosy picture for economic development in our province. It says the provincial economy will grow by three per cent over the next two years, the largest increase for any province, and points to a booming construction industry as the main factor. It’s expected to grow by ten per cent over that same two year period. It also forecasts a stronger manufacturing industry thanks to an improving American dollar which will bolster the transportation and warehousing industries. Demand for housing is also expected to rise due to population growth and better employment numbers.
