Taubman Outlet Mall Opens
Within two hours of opening its doors to the public on August 2, Taubman Prestige Outlet Mall saw 10,000 customers. By the end of the weekend, that number jumped to 125,000. Located in Chesterfield, Missouri, ground broke on the $150 million project a little over one year ago.
The open-air shopping center provides a village style layout, dog-friendly hospitality, access to the Monarch Levee Trail, bike racks, and St. Louis-themed children’s rides. The mall’s roster includes fashion forward outlet retailers, new-to-the-market stores, and shopping favorites. “Furla, Love Culture, Brooks Brothers, Ralph Lauren Polo, and Restoration Hardware are just a few of the stores that make this a must-visit shopping destination,” said Colleen O’Neill, general manager of Taubman Prestige Outlets.
Taubman Chairman, President and CEO, Robert Taubman, said, “We are pleased to open our first Taubman Prestige Outlet in the great state of Missouri. And opening on tax free weekend is a great advantage for our retailers, providing them the ability to be open during the second-busiest shopping season of the year, and giving our shoppers even more savings.”
In honor of the grand opening, Taubman presented $10,000 donations to the Humane Society of Missouri and Cardinal Glennon Children’s Foundation. Additionally, $25,000 was presented to the City of Chesterfield to commemorate its 25th Anniversary.
