IRR-Long Island Mid-Year Viewpoint 2015 Local Market Report - Office
The Long Island office market continues to limp along with no significant improvement in occupancy or rent levels. While there has been some employment growth, downsizing of employee space requirements has offset any significant office space demand. We do not expect the Long Island office market to benefit to any great degree from rapidly increasing rent levels in New York City. However, demand is strongest the closer in to New York City and mass transit is always a plus.
