Ben Moss, Miami real estate blog, Miami luxury real estate, ONE Sotheby's

Can you believe it’s August already? While the dog days of summer are in full force, Miami does not have the pleasure of looking forward to a fall cool down, full of scenic leaves falling around us and the need to pull out our parkas. However, what Miami does have is its refreshing ocean waves and, if you’re lucky, a sea breeze when you’re by the shore. There is no slow season down here.

No place is better acquainted with the cooling off powers of the Atlantic Ocean than Miami Beach, with its legendary Star Island and South Beach clubs. It also hosts some of the most expensive homes in Miami, given its waterfront lots and upscale neighborhoods.

So far in 2014,198 single-family homes have been sold in Miami Beach. Let’s take a look at those that have gone for top dollar.
