One of Miami’s tiniest neighborhoods just saw its most expensive property hit the market for a cool $60,000,000. Located on Key Biscayne, an island connected by a causeway and bridge to mainland Miami, does not offer any single family house for less than $1,000,000. However, this is not only Key Biscayne’s priciest property for sale, but it's also the most expensive in all of Miami-Dade County.
775 S Mashta Drive encompasses two acres of land situated on a gated, private peninsula at the western edge of Key Biscayne. It has an astonishing 2,000 linear feet of water frontage. The property offers sweeping views across Biscayne Bay and complete privacy, except for boaters cruising by. This property, although incredibly expensive by any standards, is really selling for land value, as the house itself would be considered a tear-down by any buyer with the means to actually purchase it. As such, most of the property marketing photos focus on the water views and aerial shots of the land. The two next most expensive Miami properties are listed at $40,000,000. It will be interesting to see if an offshore client or a relocating hedge fund manager scoops this parcel up and builds a contemporary dream house on this site. Below are a few photos. Enjoy.
