The Durst Organization, founded in 1915 by Joseph Durst, is the owner, manager and builder of 13 million square feet of premier Manhattan office towers and 2 million square feet of residential rental properties. The Durst Organization is the developer of the most environmentally advanced skyscraper in the United States – the 2.1 million square foot LEED Platinum Bank of America Tower at One Bryant Park. The Durst Organization is recognized as a world leader in the development of high-performance and environmentally advanced commercial and residential properties. In May 2011, The Durst Organization closed a joint venture agreement with the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey for an equity interest in One World Trade Center. The company is the managing partner of the 3 million square foot office tower, responsible for tenant fit-out, leasing and property management.
