Zoom in on the right home improvement contractor.
Simple. Accurate. Reliable.

BuildZoom is a marketplace for remodeling and construction that makes it simple, safe and easy to zoom in on the right contractor for your next home renovation or building project.

What makes BuildZoom different?

We do the looking for you … based on real, reliable data and most important, complete independence and integrity

For years, our industry has lacked an authoritative, transparent source people could trust when it comes to choosing a contractor. Up to now, contractor recommendations have been made on the basis of word of mouth, subjective reviews, paid listings and testimonials, or just plain guesswork. It’s no wonder the remodeling industry has seen some of the worst consumer satisfaction ratings of any business.

Yet all this time, a virtual gold mine of information has been available - but not accessible. Valuable information about contractors, from their track record to their integrity to their clientele, has been buried in government archives.

BuildZoom unlocks this vault of information by gathering and analyzing millions of building records from sources that include over 100 contractor licensing agencies and 500 local building permit departments. Instead of giving homeowners a list of contractors paying to be on our site, this capability allows us to “zoom in” on a licensed professional with a track record of success and trustworthiness who matches your specific requirements, in much the same way intelligence agencies sort through massive volumes of information to zero in on terrorists. For example, BuildZoom analyses can tell consumers all the places a contractor has worked, how it turned out, and how much they charged for similar projects in the past.

The result: incredibly reliable and accurate information consumers can’t get anywhere else - offering the ability to better select and manage the right contractor and help ensure a successful home renovation or building project.
