The Dallas Union Station, officially known as Eddie Barnice Johnson Union Station, is a rail station and part of the Trinity Railways Express commuter rail. It is located at 400 South Houston Street in Dallas’ Downtown submarket, between Wood and Young Streets. It was declared a Dallas Landmark and it is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
The station was officially opened in 1916 and it was completely rebuilt in 2008. It has one side platform and two island platforms and a total of seven tracks. Besides Trinity Railway Express, there are two more train operators serving this station – Amtrak and DART Light Trail. In 2015, there was a total of 45,132 passengers commuting through this station, which was a 10,1% decrease in comparison with the year before.
